Rockin' denim done

OMG! Thank goodness that paper chose ME. Creating these cards, I was at fever pitch, creative ideas flying around with abandoned. I am in love with these cards. If I am allowed to say so, I think they are my flavourites... that's all you get to see until the class. If you would like to join me and some other lovely gals and have a bit of craetive fun then call Fantasia 9524 8688 and book in quick. It's Sunday the 27th May $25 11am to 1pm..ish...I will endeavour to bring along morning tea with some related link to denim and lace...gee I had better start thinking. I am not promising though...

There are 3 cards and they are not difficult but a teeny bit time consuming. You will be rewarded for your effort though, they are lovely. It's ok, you can do it. I will help you...

Sneeky peeky

Here's a sneeky peeky for my card class Sunday 6 May...
I had a bit of fun making the cardstock flowers and experimenting with them. I must say I think they look  much better in real life than in this photo. I'll show you the cards in full when the class has been run.

Yummy yummy Graphic45 mini

Oh my oh my, I could EAT this paper. It's delicious. Divine. Full. Weighty with character, charm and substance. Don't you think? No? Well that just shows how nutty I am about paper and the designs they carry.

So...now I have had my moment, here's the mini I made with it. I will be making Postits to match so check out my store...the butterfly on the front is actually delicately shimmered but not visible in this shot.

Tuesday's tip - Kinky ribbons

This is ONE (yes there are 3) of my ribbon stashes:

Here's another one:

eeeewww, well that's after a creating frenzy, so please excuse me...
anyway, my point is that it's quite often that I want to add ribbon to something and it's all kinked and not nice and flat like it needs to be. So I saw this mini mini hair straightener at the hairdresser's for $8. I grabbed it and it has now become my mini ribbon straightener. I just plug it in and pull the ribbon through it instead of my hair and it works a treat! It's very small so takes up minimal space and I love it... keep your eyes peeled for a bargain like this and you'll be really glad when next time you have a kinky ribbon...

Closing the mini

Just a note for those who have purchased a mini album from me, here's how to close it up after unpacking it...
The ribbon runs from the back across the spine and to the front cover. The two ribbons then join and tie.
: )

Sail away...

Here's  a new mini for my madeit store...makes you want to run off to the beach with your bucket and spade right this minute hey? I have popped this in my store hoping it will go to a good home soon...
You can click here to go straight there, it's like magic or a bit like the transporter on the Starship enterprise in Star Trek!!

Wedding mini - SOLD!

Well I was dabbling again and came up with this little cutie... I am happy with how it turned out and I have just listed it in my madeit store. Gorgeous for a bride to be...

LISTED TODAY AND SOLD TODAY!!!

Great class...

Well I had a great time this afternoon with the Concertina Mini girls.

Thank you ladies, Pam, Dolly, Barbara, Robyn, Sue and our first timer Kathy! I wonder Kathy if we have inspired you to return or have we scared you off the all consuming world of scrapbooking? You all did so well, including Kathy, it must have been a little daunting for you, being your very first lesson?  Big thanks to Robyn and Sue who travelled 2 hours to share the afternoon with us *round of applause*, and my beautiful regular friends Pam, Barbara and Dolly, always such a joy to see you girls. I enjoyed myself very much. I hope you did too!

I have some of those new Graphic 45 papers just in at Fantasia, so I am going to create another class. Wow you should see all the new papers and goodies....oooohhh soooo wonderful!

Cute slider card

I thought we might make this cute slider card at the next kids class? Yes well some may say that it's a little ambitious for kids, but after the way they handled the mini box I think they can do it. I try to focus on the actual construction so that they can go home and re create more. They are given a simple instruction sheet to help them along so it's not so bad. They said they wanted something interactive, so I think that this is one of the simpler style of interactive cards. I believe on the Fantasia website that it says we are making the box but we are going to have a try at the slider card, so the previous class participants can come along again if they wish and learn something new!

Of course we will make it a little bit "fancy" with a few ribbons and things but this is the basic item. (I was in a bit of rush to get it done and it was very at night...the usual mantra for us dedicated scrapbookers...when the house sleeps, we scrap)
The class is on Wednesday 18th April, 11 - 1230 - $15, book at Fantasia 9524 8688

Of course this Saturday I am going to have a blast with my lovely ladies at the Concertina Mini class, 1 - 3pm, be there or be square...like a concertina mini. Mmmmm, I think I will stick to scrapbooking, my comedy attempts don't seem to go down so well...

WOW...great fun in the Kids Class

Well we had a great time today. I'm not sure who had the most fun, me or the kids? What a delightful, gorgeous, beautifully mannered, creative group of young ladies they are. They all managed to create a box with a lid and gift cards to go inside. Some used the box for photos on cardstock mats and we also came up with lots of other "goodies" to store inside the box. We all learnt that measurements and cuts need to be accurate for a straight box and we realised that we need to think "twice" before cutting. We also learnt to use the scoring board (not the score board at the Sharkies footy game..!) and how to make sharp accurate creases. So I would imagine there will be an explosion of these little cardstock boxes happening around the Sutherland Shire this afternoon...hehehe.
A big thank you to Arden, Ashleigh, Ella, Jessica, Jemmima, Chiara, Annalise, Cait, Angelique, Libby, Emily and Priya, I had a great time!!! Hope to see you again soon for some more fun and creativity!   :)
Next kids class is next week....Wed 18April 11am to 1230...book at Fantasia 9524 8688
