Bundeena

Dont forget you can click on the photos for a clearer look...

I took Miss T and Miss V to Bundeena for the day. The weather was questionable and closing in. I was prepared for the choppy churning on the ferry, but it was minimal. Thank Goodness.

Even though it was an overcast day and the sun popped in and out, the girls had a good time I think. They even went swimming! Brrrrrrr, not me, no way. This was their first outing as friends as they have just recently met at High School. I hope they can continue their friendship as Miss V is a truly lovely person. She is just gorgeous.

Anyway to the page...I don't use these colours much. Now that I have though I really do like them. I agonised over this page for days (after agonising for a few more days as to which photos I would use). I just couldn't get anything going in my head as to how to approach it. So I bought the paper and just started. It sort of built itself as I went along. Funny how that happens.

I used the Coredinations cardstock with My Mind's Eye - So Sophie paper and the red is My Mind's Eye - Alphabet Soup. The letters are from My Mind's Eye - So Sophie and the words are from My Mind's Eye - Breaking Free Adventure Series. I punched the flowers and edged them with ink. The papers were all cut and distressed and edged with ink. Buttons for the centres. A bit of bling (of course!) and a cute little tag from Echo Park Co. paper with the Ferry tickets attached and spot for journalling. I attached them all with a cute little flower brad. They slip nicely behind the photo. All in all I am quite pleased with it. Not my usual style, although these days I don't quite know what my usual style is??? What I do know is that I will be using these colours more often I think. I need to break out of the PINK world aaarrrrgggghhh nooooooooooo!!!!!

Smile

If you click on the photos you can see the photos much clearer and prettier!

This photo of Miss C was taken on a windy day on a big traffic bridge. It was a "test" day with our new camera. The girls had a lot of fun with Dad taking some shots. Even though Miss C's hair is a mess it's still very "her" and I love the photo.
I have wanted to try a page where there seems to be a large number of elements and embellishments. It's not really my style but I thought I would have a go anyway.
I used 2 papers, the background one with the spots is just so beautiful. I think it's from the Papiere girl and the shaped one I can't remember the name, sorry.
Lots of Prima flowers, a few crystals on pins, lots of bling for the flower centres, some Kaisercraft chipboard elements and a some Thickers letters for the "smile". I have also added a place for journaling which I think was from an Echo Park Co. paper. I love tassles so of course that was a must have.

I am now on the hunt for a 12 x 12 shadowboxframe for it to live in.
